The Kiwanis Cub of Lake Tahoe Sunrisers views its role in the community with a great deal of foresight. Key aspects to operation our club include:
• Evaluating children's issues and community needs on an ongoing basis
• Conducting service projects to respond to those identified needs
• Maintaining an active membership roster of community-minded people who
have both the desire and the ability to serve
Our meetings are held weekly and offer an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. We meet on Tuesdays, 7:30am at Embassy Suites - 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd, next door to Harrahs Casino.

We are hopeful our service projects and community involvement will raise awareness of our efforts and encourage others to become members of the Lake Tahoe Sunrisers Kiwanis Club. We also want to remind the community that any community need can become a Kiwanis Service Project. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time, and our club takes that mission statement seriously. If your organization has a need, we encourage you to contact our Club and come to a meeting and present a program to us regarding that need. We are a service organization, and service is what we do best
Every day, Kiwanians around the globe make a difference by revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports programs, planting trees, erecting playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help children and communities The 650,000 adult and youth members of Kiwanis in communities like Lake Tahoe prove that one person’s actions of kindness are enough to make a significant impact on entire communities. Service projects are just one way to shed light on the amazing efforts made by Kiwanian men and women worldwide who continue to improve the lives of the world’s children.
You can contact the club by calling Club President, Debbie Ward at 530-314-9513 or emailing debwardtahoe@yahoo.com.
